As part of your hospital’s continuous quality improvement program, DaVita® can provide your nurses with educational programs aimed at enhancing their ability to care for patients with end stage renal disease (ESRD) and to improve collaboration with DaVita dialysis nurses and nephrologists to preserve the care continuum.
DaVita Hospital Services has developed a number of educational opportunities to help your organization’s nurses better understand the unique needs of their end stage renal disease (ESRD) patients and the various dialysis treatment modalities DaVita provides. In addition to a handy laminated card with clinical reminders for treating dialysis patients, nurses can receive continuing education unit (CEU) in most states for taking one of our classes.
Each time we begin a continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) program, DaVita Hospital Services is there with a formal training program to teach your team about the unique needs of these patients and the special care they require. Intensive care registered nurses who are involved in the monitoring of this therapy will be guided through very thorough coursework, enabling them to feel comfortable and provide a superior level of care.
DaVita Hospital Services can also deliver local training for nurses who care for apheresis and peritoneal dialysis patients if their hospital chooses this option.
If our DaVita team brings new equipment into your facility, local leadership teams will coordinate manufacturer in-service training. This helps ensure that your team is comfortable with the care DaVita is providing in your facility.
